ÉLECTR., anglicisme. Synon. de inductance (propre), coefficient de self-induction. La f.e.m. [force électromotrice] induite est proportionnelle à la vitesse avec laquelle varie l'intensité du courant, la constante de proportionnalité étant dénommée coefficient de self-induction, ou self-inductance (UV.-CHAPMAN 1956).
REM. Self, subst. fém., électr., anglicisme, synon. de self-inductance. On distingue les inductances propres (ou selfs) (...) et les inductances mutuelles (Encyclop. Sc. Techn. t. 7 1972, p. 23).
